Leighton Meester is very focused on family life with husband actor Adam Brody and their two kids in Malibu, California. An avid surfer, thanks to her husband, Meester says that surfing is her favorite form of exercise. It also comes with the added benefit of the spiritual experience of being in the ocean.

Meester guest stars in Season 2 of Netflix’s ‘Nobody Wants This’, playing a frenemy mommy blogger and childhood nemesis of Joanne [played by Kristen Bell]. She also has a recurring role in the HBO series ‘I Love LA’, which premiered on November 2, 2025.

The actor is also a most-dedicated advocate and ambassador for Feeding America [IG].

Meester is very open about the contradiction between her breakout role in ‘Gossip Girl’ and the reality of her own growing up life. Her own family relied on food stamps and hunger was a common state of her home life. The activist played the privileged and fashionable Blair Waldorf, the Queen Bee of Constance Billard School for Girls.

She played a powerful social strategist, daughter of fashion designer Eleanor Waldorf, and obsessed with maintaining her status and securing her future, often clashing with others to stay on top. It was a positive and constructive experience, according to Meester. But all the contradictions between her character and real life did become challenging, the actor has always maintained.
