Loro Piana Resort 2025/26 Collection and 2nd Century Business Update
/As Italian luxury brand Loro Piana moves into its second century in business, celebrating now 100 years of exceptional craftsmanship in 2025, it rides the wave of what parent LVMH describes as “a remarkable performance”.
In the latest Loro Piana Resort 2025/26 images shot by Annemarieke van Drimlen [IG] with styling by Aleksandra Woroniecks, AOC checks in on Loro’s next-century transition year under new 29-year-old CEO Frédéric Arnault.
Loro Piana As #3 Brand at LVMH
LVMH rarely breaks out individual house revenues in its vast and valuable porfolio of luxury brands. Its generally believed that under the strong leadership of Damien Bertrand, Loro Piana has about €2.5 billion in annual sales, equivalent to $2.7 billion, according to WSJ.
If accurate, Loro Piana has edged out Celine as the third highest-revenue LVMH gem behind Louis Vuitton and Dior. Celine design is now guided by former Ralph Lauren Polo Women’s creative director Michael Rider.
With expertise acquired at Celine, working with Phoebe Philo, Rider will make his runway debut on July 6, during Paris Couture week 2025. It’s not clear if it’s a co-ed show or women’s only.
Damien Bertrand will become deputy CEO of Louis Vuitton, effective June 10, 2025, reporting to Louis Vuitton CEO Pietro Beccari. Bertrand will oversee all LV product creation and development, brand image and communication as well as industrial activities and a seat on the LVMH executive committee in early 2026.
Resumé of New Loro Piana CEO Frédéric Arnault
The new Loro Piana CEO pursued his education at the renowned École Polytechnique, following the same program as his father. Before joining TAG Heuer, he co-established and later sold a startup focused on electronic payments. He entered TAG Heuer in 2017, overseeing connected technologies, and ascended to the position of CEO at 25, three years later.
In early 2024, Arnault took over LVMH Watches, overseeing the purchase of l’Epée 1839 and playing an instrumental role in securing a decade-long sponsorship agreement that integrated LVMH brands with Formula One.
Like his father Bernard — whose piano skills do not match those of his second wife and Frédéric’s mother, professional pianist Hélène Mercier-Arnault — Frédéric Arnault is considered to be a concert-level pianist. The new Loro Piana CEO has performed with the Moscow Philharmonic.
Understanding just how critical, piano skills are in the Arnault family, AOC is undertaking a scientific investigation of the correlation between expertise in playing the piano and life success.
Loro Piana Resort 2025 Highlights
Fabrics: Loro Piana calls linen “a noble and ancient raw material”. While linen used in the Resort 2025 collection is often called Antigua linen, it’s actually sourced through its Solbiati Italian linen mill, which is over 150 years old. The name Antigua is chosen both for the linen weaving technique and ‘romantic’ appeal.
An AI query cautions us not to assume there is no opportunity for sourcing natural fibers in the Caribbean, based on a 2024 LinkedIn post by Samuel L. Gittens Jr.
The name Antigua is chosen both for the linen weaving technique and ‘romantic’ appeal. Solbiati is renowned for sourcing the finest European flax, grown in regions like Northern France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
Cuts: Animated in a palette of refined monochromatic hues, the House’s swim pieces from the Resort 2025 Collection are designed with clean, minimalist lines.
Asymmetric cuts are expertly rendered to complement the natural curvature of the figure and discrete skin revelation. Single-shoulder designs add the element of sophisticated sensuality.
