Xiaorui Li in 'Eden' and Gorgeous Images by Anthony Arquer for Vogue Philippines

Since its launch issue in September 2022, Vogue Philippines [IG] has launched many fashion stories that honor nature and also the artisans and indigenous cultures in this Asian nation. Editor-in-chief Bea Valdes has done an excellent job guiding the development of her magazine. The February 2026 issue continues this young and impressive tradition.

Today, AOC shares ‘Eden’ featuring Chinese model Xiaorui Li VP explains:

In the dusk between light and shadow, where stillness carries as much presence as gesture, the language of Asian cinema lingers, recalling Wong Kar-wai’s 'In the Mood for Love,' Hou Hsiao-hsien’s 'Flowers of Shanghai,' Edward Yang’s 'Yi Yi,' and Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s 'Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives.'

The story unfolds with styling and creative direction by Alexandre Dornellas, lensed by Anthony Arquer [IG] at Domaine du Château Vert [IG], the 40-hectare estate renowned for its experimental greenhouses and exotic gardens. The grounds evoke a modern Garden of Eden where nature feels at once cultivated and untamed. [Note that AOC is a bit confused about the location, but everybody’s IG is the same. We can’t find the greenhouses.] Brands included are Balenciaga, Dior, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Moschino, Prada, Susan Fang and more./ Hair by Sundia Wen; makeup by Sharbel Hasbany
