Celine [IG] designer and artistic director Michael Rider shares a new Spring 2026 Campaign with a focus on bags. Four models — Boma Sunday, Kylie Young, Svetlana Lethelier and Victoria Blecher — are styled by Ewa Kluczenko in key pieces from The Garance, The Cabas New Luggage, The Besace Soft Triomphe and more collections.

Different designers come with pedigrees and perceptions about his or her personality, talent and character.

Yes, character — let AOC put the word into our discussions of the luxury brands portfolio. The descriptors on the lesser-known Rider’s July 2025 debut added up to a designer with significant goodwill around his appointment.

“He demonstrated his distinct, authentic style and presented a 360-degree vision of how we dress today,” said Jonathan Anderson, the new artistic director of Dior, who attended Rider’s show. In the ultimate compliment for any designer, Rider’s former colleagues from Polo Ralph Lauren were present to cheer him on.

Other industry colleagues like W writer Eric Wilson cited Rider’s “lack of pretension” as a refreshing attribute, in a fashion industry sea of often-massive egos.

“At Ralph Lauren, no one would accept that I was American—I was French to them,” the designer reflects. “And my whole life in Europe, I have always been the most American person in the room.”

What a perfect example of fashion fusion in high gear at Celine, as Rider rides big waves. Celine’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway show happens Sunday, October 5 at 12pm.
