‘It's Always Burberry Weather: London in Love’ Campaign February 2025

"It's Always Burberry Weather: London in Love" is a continuation of the campaign released in October 2024.

"A Burberry love story comes to life through the cinematic lens of this campaign. It's about humor, optimism and, of course, the unpredictability of our great British weather," Burberry chief creative officer Daniel Lee told the press.

For Anne, the campaign resonates deeply because on her first trip to London, a month of May journey with her then fiancé. Prepared for daily showers, it was sunny the entire time they were in Britain — a stretch of days so long that friends joked Anne had set a new record for bringing the best weather in years.

Burberry celebrates the new season with a series of stories honoring love, life and the rain showering a star-studded cast including actors Kate Winslet, Aimee Lou Wood, Chen Kun, Jodie Turner-Smith, Micheal Ward, Nicholas Hoult, Richard E. Grant and Son Sukku alongside models David Gandy, Liu Wen and Naomi Campbell – and a knight in shining armour.

Burberry’s London in Love 2025 Campaign Is About Much More Than Rainwear

New Burberry CEO Josh Schulman told the press: "Our summer 2025 campaign is a joyous celebration of our original purpose -- to create clothing that protects people from the weather. It showcases the innovation and craftsmanship that defines Burberry as the ultimate trench and rainwear destination."

Schulman is much more focused on the heritage DNA of the Burberry brand, and less so on the runway. He said there was too much focus on being:

“modern at the expense of celebrating our heritage. We introduced new brand codes and signifiers that were unfamiliar to our customers. Our product was weighted to seasonal fashion with a niche aesthetic obscuring our more timeless core collections.”

Burberry Returns to FTSE 100

The Burberry Fall 2025 runway show in London tomorrow February 24, has some interesting and speculative press around the event. One factoid sure to please the new CEO is Burberry’s strong potential for regaining a spot in the FTSE 100.

Burberry lost a spot last September 2024, after its stock price dropped nearly 75% in 16 months. As of February 7, it was the 89th-largest company listed on the London Stock Exchange. If this position holds, it will secure automatic entry back into the FTSE 100 in the March reshuffle, according to financial analysts.

Burberry’s ambitious turnaround plan, launched with Schulman’s arrival, resulted in the brand appointing new leaders across its marketing, product merchandising and Americas divisions; remove £40m of costs, and pivot to Burberry’s reputation for being the market leader in rainwear and trench coats.
