Campbell Addy Captures Luxury Labels Men 'Jumping Into Embrace' for ICON Magazine

ICON men’s fashion and lifestyle magazine launched their sixth location, US biannual edition in April, with Gro Curtis, formerly of VMan and V Magazine, serving as editor-in-chief. Curtis said the goal was to establish Icon.America [IG] as an “arbiter of good taste and impeccable men’s style rather than creating another trivial almanac of trends.”

Curtis shared words that are music to our ears. “Challenging the fundamental codes of menswear has always been my passion and I’m looking forward to further promoting and nourishing U.S.-based men’s designers, talents, creatives and models.”

This fashion story ‘Jumping Into Embrace’ photographed by London-based Campbell Addy [IG] for ICON Italia [IG] taps into a topic very close to Addy’s body, mind and soul. It may be all ICON issues, as it’s also on ICON America.

The fight to make explicit male sensitivity and vulnerability echoes through the emotional unraveling of men’s tailoring this season. Broken suits, ballet-laced Oxfords, and bodies caught midair capture a silhouette—and a state of being—in flux.

Our subjects, presented mid-jump then juxtaposed with tender, close-up portraits, explore authenticity achieved through introspection and emotional openness. Men can and should feel.

Matthew Josephs styles the fashion shoot with brands including Alexander McQueen, Amiri, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, MM6 Maison Margiela, Maison Valentino, Rick Owens and YSL. As always, we looked hard for names of talents but only one IG had them with broken links. Sorry guys; AOC did our best to give you visibility./ Hair by Issac Poleon; makeup by Mata Marielle
