Alley Pascoe conducts the interview, and ‘darn’, we don’t learn in the digital version what Lupita is talking about when she says: “I was in my underwear thinking, ‘This is how I’m going to die.’ And I just started laughing uncontrollably.”’

We can surmise it was that moment when she survived her very difficult romantic breakup in fall 2023 . . . but we don’t learn the answer in the abridged online interview.”

Of course we learn [again] about Lupita being afraid of the cats in the movie and how now she doesn’t go anywhere without Yoyo.

Lupita . . . About Being a Cat Lady, We Need to Talk

Now Lupita, I wish to speak with you about being a childless cat lady. Surely, you have an opinion on that subject, given Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance’s assertion that America is dominated in politics and business by childless cat ladies. They are miserable with their empty lives and taking the nation down the toilet in their misery.

Nyong’o and Jackson

Lupita’s current love life is the focus of an interview this week with Jodie Turner-Smith, the ex-wife of the star’s new love interest Joshua Jackson.

Actually Turner-Smith lends much legitimacy to the degree of seriousness in couple’s discreet and growing romance. She and Jackson share a daughter Juno.

“Good for them,” Turner-Smith told InStyle when asked about Jackson moving on with Nyong'o two months following their split. “We need happiness in order to peacefully co-parent." She then jokingly added, "I’m trying to get us to the Gwyneth and Chris Martin level."

Turner-Smith continued, "I truly hope they’re happy and that it benefits us as a family. I just have to do everything that I can to set Juno up to win and to peacefully co-parent with someone whom I once loved very, very much.”

It’s an understatement to say that Jodie Turner-Smith is a class act. As is Lupita Nyong’o. ~ Anne
