Awar Odhiang in YSL Pre-Fall 2024 Collection | YSL Celebrates Zoë Kravitz with Art Book

Yves Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection continued his pursuit of edgy eroticism and lingerie dressing for the Parisian house.

In these images, YSL model Awar Odhiang presents key looks from pre-fall, lensed by Mark Kean [IG]. Vaccarello’s designs mix hard/soft effects with the marriage of tough trench coats and leather jackets with lace and silk slip dresses and skirts.

YSL Art House

The undercurrent of Parisian naughtiness is intense in the YSL prefall collection. It comes at a time when Vaccarello is expanding the art house identity of YSL with the new bookstore on Rue Babylone and the 2023 birth of a film production company Saint Laurent Productions.

An impressive three Saint Laurent films ‘Emilia Perez’, by Jacques Audiard, starring Zoe Saldana and Selena Gomez; David Cronenberg’s ‘The Shrouds, starring Vincent Cassel; and ‘Parthenope’, directed by Paolo Sorrentino were chosen for May’s 77th Cannes Film Festival’s official selection. ‘Emilia Perez’ became a big winner in Cannes and will be available on Netflix in the US and UK.

Celebrating Zoë Kravitz

Most recently, Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello announced “Zoë”— a new campaign Zoë Kravitz longstanding relationship with the house. The video is very retro Parisian steamy with Kravitz lounging around in lingerie and ripped-up tights.

The clip was released to coincide with a brand-new “Zoë” book, shot by Henrik Purienne. The volume was created to “reflect the longstanding relationship” between the actress and the Saint Laurent creative director. “On over 100 pages, the shots captured by Purienne’s lens in color and black-and-white show Kravitz’s character—independent, playful, and in clear command of her allure—in a variety of situations unfolding from the beach to the city.” See YSL’s IG for more details about the art show in LA connected to the book release.
