Zendaya has no intention to make music anytime soon. Not only is her life overflowing with acting projects like her just-opened film ‘Challengers’, where her character Tashi, a fiercely-competitive tennis phenom turned coach over an accident, whips her husband into shape on the tennis court and in the bedroom.

Returning to why Zendaya has little interest in making more music, the lack of privacy afforded pop stars on the road for long periods of time is too overwhelming in the star’s mind. Her acting roles allow her to explore her own inner self both in character and perhaps even in opposition to her character, without being constantly scrutinized or explaining what’s going on in her own mind.

To hear Zendaya speak of enjoying personal anonymity is understandable — if somewhat hard to believe — given her and boyfriend Tom Holland’s spontaneous trip to the Louvre in October 2022, as told to Marius.

Clearly, their decision was based on a desire to live life fully in Paris. But it did not reflect Zendaya’s desire for anonymity — and the Louve tried to dissuade them from coming. All was obviously forgiven when they arrived anyway, and museum officials encouraged them to roam through the famous art museum, even after it closed.

“You just kind of get used to the fact that, Oh, I’m also one of these art pieces you’re going to take a picture of. I just gotta be totally cool with it and just live my life,” she said.

Tom Holland in Romeo and Juliet

While Zendaya is promoting her film, ‘Challengers’, her ‘Spiderman’ boyfriend is preparing for a return to the stage in London. Shakespeare’s play ‘Romeo and Juliet’ will open at the Duke of York's Theatre on May 11.

Holland, who will play Romeo, is joined by Francesca Amewudah-Rivers as Juliet. Her West End debut has been marred with a “barrage of racial abuse”, according to headlines.

The Jamie Lloyd Company 12-week run production sold out in two hours at £200 and higher. The play is headed to Broadway this fall, with details to follow.
