Bella Hadid Covers Vogue Italia, Looking Serene in Advance of Her Orabella Launch

Precious words come from supermodel, businesswoman, activist Bella Hadid, who covers the April 2024 issue of Vogue Italia — and presumably other April Vogues as well.

In response to the question “How are you?”, asked by interviewer Sofia Viganò, Bella responds:

“Very good: for the first time since I can remember I am clear and present. I have the feeling that, by showing my most authentic self, things and people have aligned with my destiny."

Hadid is styled by Alex Jordan Harrington in inner cleansing-mode clothes, devoid of jewelry and other beautiful distractions.

Photographer Zoe Ghertner [IG] captures Bella’s inner equilibrium in images that are majorly more sober than the Bella Hadid revealed on her IG. Her makeup by Fara Homidi is minimal; hair by Jimmy Paul is maximal — unless Bella follows sister Gigi in a new bob cut.

Bella’s Texas State of Mind

With her enduring love of horses and now spending major amount of time in Ft. Worth, Texas with her guy National Cutting Horse Association Riders Hall of Famer Adan Banuelos, Bella should be fronting the Fall 2024 Louis Vuitton Men’s cowboys campaign.

Asked by Viganò to speak more about her relationship with horses, Bella is unusually candid:

The connection with these animals is not comparable to any human relationship. They trusted me, taught me loyalty and raised me , loved me and cared for me in ways that sometimes people couldn't do.

It was only on on Valentine’s Day, that Bella referred to Banuelos as ‘My Valentine’. Back in January, Hadid posted an Instagram video suggesting that she has been taking lessons from Banuelos. Bella was participating in a cutting horse event on a stallion named Tito. “Never stop trying new things. I feel lucky enough to have the opportunity to keep learning in life,” she wrote.

Bella has reportedly bought a house in Ft. Worth, where Banuelos also has a home.

Orabella Launches May 2, 2024

The famous sister spoke with Vogue about her morning rituals but not with the same detail she recently expressed on TikTok. The question is a natural one with the upcoming launch of Bella’s beauty brand Orabella.

Hadid left people semi-speechless with her morning routine — one straight out of the Gwyneth Paltrow playbook. AOC wants to share it, but honestly, it’s a long post in itself. And very expensive, we will add.

It must be said, that Bella has experienced serious health challenges with her family’s ongoing bouts with Lyme disease. If this morning wellness routine suits her — and Bella can certainly afford it — it’s her life and body for her to nurture, as she desires.

Orebella will likely sell a variety of scent-related products including fragrance, incense, body lotions, oils, shampoo, conditioner and candles, according to the trademark application for BKH Essential LLC. WWD noted that ‘BKH’ includes the initials of Hadid’s full name: Bella Khair Hadid.

Bella also owns the nonalcoholic beverage and spirit brand Kin Euphorics, which she cofounded in 2021.

Bella Hadid’s Palestinian Heritage

Asked about being a model of Palestinian origins on the cover of Vogue, Bella’s answer is succinct and apolitical.

Palestine is part of me, it runs in my blood. I am proud of my Palestinian and Dutch roots. Giving visibility to a group of people who are underrepresented has enormous importance for me: it shows that the Palestinian people have value. Not only that, it also gives girls and boys the chance to see that their hopes and dreams are achievable, regardless of where they come from or what they look like.

Anne has been studying daily the history of the region after Google accidentally landed me on Mohamed Hadid’s Instagram — which featured his daughter Bella’s info I was seeking. It’s a 5-star, hate-filled bonfire that plunged me into major despair with posts going up, then down, once FOX is writing about them. They’re in the way-back machine, and I have a collection.

In a happier moment that morning, I had found an Egyptian goddess Sekhmet pendant, and thought of Bella’s identity with her, expressed in another Vogue US interview for the April 2022 issue. I was so excited and about about to write about the pendant and my upcoming return of GlamTribal Design in Jewelry News.

I had this book delivered Sunday about the rise of civilization in the Levant region. We all mourn the horrific suffering of the Palestinian people, and I speak out constantly in the Israeli press against Netanyahu, who I’ve loathed for years.

But I will not sit silently as big-mouth, 90% of them men like Mr. Hadid call for Biden’s presidential defeat as America’s collective punishment for not choosing Palestine over Israel, as they demand. Update: This is an example of why Google sent me to Mohamed Hadid’s IG, instead of Bella’s, as I requested in my search. He regularly weaves his daughters’ high status in the world, with his own identity. Whether they embrace fully his own beliefs and values, none of us knows.

The great news is that Bella Hadid is really celebrating life on her own terms in this Vogue Italia interview, and that’s a wonderful reality for her artistic and empathetic being that inspires us all. ~ Anne
