Steven Meisel's ZARA Women SS Campaign With Abby, Achenrin, Mona Lights Creative Torch

Steven Meisel and Team are Formula One, COVID-creativity Pace Setters

Two of Meisel’s British Vogue April 2021 cover girls are in the Zara mix Achenrin Madit. and Mona Tougaard. Add in model Abby Champion; bring Karl Templer to style the three beauties, Fabien Baron for art direction, and all systems are go./ Hair by Guido Palau; makeup by Diane Kendal

Legendary photographer Steven Meisel delivers another fashion-lover’s, heart-racing set of visuals with his new Zara Women Spring Summer 2021 Campaign. The Green team will be thrilled, as the Meisel crew is again working remotely and not spewing carbon and jet fuel all over the planet.

Equally important is the reality that no one in his or her right mind can make the argument that the images — and LOOK AT the Zara campaign video below — would be better if the entire Meisel ensemble was in the California desert.

As Steve Jobs Would Say: Think Different

As creatives are slammed against the wall during the COVID epidemic, Meisel & Co are setting the pace for new ways to create fashion excitement and imagery. As for Zara — this campaign, like Meisel’s breataking fall 2020 one — catapult the fast-fashion brand into the big leagues of fashion gorgeosity.

Never fear, AOC is bird-dogging Zara’s move towards sustainability. But in this moment, we celebrate a morning with more Steven Meisel & Co unadulterated fashion joy — because goddess knows we need some fashion joy.

Humanity emerged from nature where goddesses and women held enormous power and influence. The symbolism of the ‘Into the Light’ Zara campaign beings tears to my eyes. The fight for humanity is firing on all cylinders here, thanks to this great team of creatives — and I include models as creatives.

Sending love to all the Think Different types out there ~ Anne
