The crochet trend will be huge in the spring 2022 season and Tropic of C’s print and pattern visual statement delivers both real crochet and crochet-inspired designs. The first moment I laid eyes on these images, my reaction was to make a collaboration between Tropic of C and Chloé.

AOC is moving to lean-in even heavier on sustainability, after hearing that some luxury brands think speaking to sustainability progress dilutes the primary fashion excitement. Sustainability is nice for the planet, but it can be a downer. People’s brains can’t handle both concepts — exciting design and sustainability — simultaneously.

Tropic of C’s ‘Praia’ top, available in multicolored stripes, is pure modern art. The ‘C ‘bralette and bottom also channel retro vibes in a checkered print available in violet and sea breeze. “Take a trip with us to a new dimension, a higher place where we are awake but always dreaming,” Tropic of C invites eager boho spirits.

Not Tropic of C. Even their Google ads lead with the word ‘Sustainable’. Nor is sustainability a stepchild on Tropic of C’s Instagram.

Congrats as always, Candice and Daniela. You are setting the pace with cutting-edge, vibrant design looks in the Gabriela Hearst for Chloé tradition, and making those looks planet-friendly.

We couldn’t ask for more — except for your brand to expand its wings and fly as high as you can soar. Watching you carefully, I can see that you don’t have the flaw of Icarus. You are not drowning in your own hubris, and you’re very methodical, calculating and consistent in your every move.
