Guerlain's Violette Serrat Relaunches G Rouge Lipstick for Paris Lovers
Meet Violette Serrat
French-born Violette Serrat, creative director of makeup for Guerlain since summer 2021, was born and raised in Paris. Serrat understands French women and their love of red lipstick.
Fifteen years after Rouge G’s first Guerlain release, it’s reborn in 40 stunning shades in both velvet-matte and satin finishes. Rouge G is formulated with a new 89 per cent skincare-based formula made with lily oleo extract. Created with lily flowers and paired with sweet almond oil, this complex has smoothing, hydrating and plumping properties and improves the quality of lips worldwide with prolonged wear.
Top faces Natalia Vodianova and Malika El Maslouhi are leading the campaign lensed by Charlotte Wales [IG].
Even the iconic mirrored cases notched up their glam quotient without hurting the environment. Using gold instead of silver, the nine new jewel cases are 19 per cent lighter than before, allowing for a 30 per cent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.
Models Greta Hofer, Karolina Spakowski and Victoria Fawole gather as ‘The Suitors’, a menswear fashion statement that could launch a political brushfire in America, three days out from our presidential election.
There’s great swagger and attitude in this British Vogue [IG] November 2024 fashion story, styled by Harry Lambert with Dolce & Gabbana, Emporio Armani, Hawes & Curtis, Jonathan Anderson, Loro Piana, Louis Vuitton, Max Mara, Michael Kors Collection, Moschino, Ralph Lauren and more.

Superstylist Lotta Volkova steps up for Gaultier, as the newest creative to introduce fresh ideas to the brand, while honoring the roots of the famous house.
Gaultier prints — and especially his infamous banknote print — are reimagined in three new offerings inspired by Gaultier’s Les Tatouages Spring/Summer 1994 collection.
Models Blesnya Minher, Evie Harris, Mika Schneider, Morgan Porter and Puck Schrover take the spotlight in the Louis Vuitton BUBBLEGRAM Bag Campaign 2022, lensed by Charlotte Wales.
Stylist Victoria Sekrier pairs the Bubblegram bags with casual, sporty, flirty crop tops, short skirts and dresses, cargo-pants and shorts and other summer essentials. Louis Vuitton-embossed fabrics and screened LV hoodies remind us that logos still mean business with this crowd.
Model Lola Nicon makes it abundantly clear that Malika Louback and Mika Schneider are along for the ride in ‘Nouvelle Vague’, Vogue France’s disoriented, disjointed February 2022 cover. Emiie Karech styles the trio for images by Charlotte Wales [IG].
AOC tries not to be too critical on creatives, but Vogue France is a mess. This is amateur hour for a magazine with a great history that ended in 2011. Good goddess!
In this sad cover concoction, just make the title ‘Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets!’ [that’s a song]. But I’ll say this. You want to upstage the very talented Malika Louback and Mika Schneider, who shine in the actual story and the industry at large, you all better know what you are doing.
Photographer Charlotte Wales [IG] captures a large model cast styled by Poppy Kain in ‘She’s All That’. The lineup includes Alva Claire, Ajok Daing, Effy Kaethner, Georgina Grenville, Lara Stone, Lola Nicon, Marika O’Farrell, Sacha Quenby, Sophie Wilson Carr, and Yasmin Le Bon for the March 2021 issue of British Vogue.
