Jonathan Anderson Departs LOEWE | Where He's Headed Is Hardly a Secret
/Designer Jonathan Anderson has resigned his position as Loewe’s creative director after 11 years at the helm.
The news was confirmed Monday, March 17 following months of speculation about the evolving chess game supporting creative talent at LVMH. The question is whether all players will be in place in a day or two, or the completion wait goes on.
It’s widely assumed that Anderson is headed to Dior — which could be challenging for AOC to accept. Except that we are thrilled about Anderson’s future, knowing that Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri wants to return to Rome and Anderson will not tear up the Dior brand with the need to reinvent it.
After spending hours revisiting Jonathan Anderson’s body of work, taking the reins at Dior is absolute perfection for him. Both Anderson are Chiuri are humanists, with a profound attachment to craft and human artistry. Both designers embrace the entire international community at large and are devoted to honoring history in fresh, new ways.

Anderson probably goes out further on the trapeze wire than Chiuri, and Anne finds herself really excited about unleashing his creative talents on Dior.
To seal the deal for AOC, watching the LOEWE Pre-Spring/Summer 2025 Campaign video, Lilith’s name appears as 1800 BC in the upper left hand corner of the art studio segment. That love note to feminists and Jewish women nails it for Jonathan Anderson at Anne of Carversville.com.
“While reflecting on the last 11 years, I have been lucky enough to be surrounded by people with the imagination, the skills, the tenacity, and the resourcefulness to find a way to say ‘yes’ to all my wildly ambitious ideas,’” Anderson said in a statement. “While my chapter draws to a close, Loewe’s story will continue for many years to come, and I will look on with pride, watching it continue to grow, the amazing Spanish brand I once called home.’”
Reports are that Loewe revenues multiplied 7-fold during Jonathan Anderson’s 11-year tenure.
