Dakota Johnson Reunites with Alessandro Michele at Valentino | Dakota's Book Club

Dakota Johnson has been named the global brand ambassador for Valentino, reconnecting her with creative director Alessandro Michele.

Johnson and Michele have been close friends since Michele's years at Gucci where Johnson was a key muse. It was expected among fashion insiders that when Dakota’s contract with Gucci was up for renewal, that Johnson would rejoin her close friend at Valentino.

Valentino views this partnership as an extension of its engagement with figures embodying artistry and cultural significance — a theme that only gains momentum among luxury brands. And those ambassadors are generally more progressive thinkers.

Dakota Johnson’s TeaTime Book Club

Dakota Johnson has a book club called the TeaTime Book Club, launched in 2024 through her production company, TeaTime Pictures. The book club operates as an online platform primarily on the actor’s Instagram.

Johnson selects a new book each month and shares insights, playlists, and author interviews to enrich the reading experience for her followers.  Readers can then order the books from Bookshop.org, created for readers who don’t want to buy books from Amazon.

It’s noteworthy that every Dakota Johnson Teatime purchase supports local bookstores in the project which has raised a whopping $41,880,190.96 to date.

Johnson’s career spans from her early role in ‘Crazy in Alabama’ to global fame in the ‘Fifty Shades’ series, and recent work in films like ‘Splitsville’ and ‘Materialists,’ alongside Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal.
