Six Years Running Moncler Group Tops Dow Jones Sustainability Index in Fashion & Luxury
On December 16th, news broke that for the sixth consecutive year in a row, Moncler Group topped the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices for World and Europe in the "textile, apparel & luxury goods" sector.
The Index ranks the leading sustainability-driven companies based on economic, environmental and social responsibility criteria, which are analyzed by top credit ratings provider S&P Global. More than 13,000 firms were assessed in the latest index.
In the subset of the top 500 most sustainable companies across all sectors, Moncler ranks #3 in the Dow Jones Index.
Moncler’s current five-year cycle ‘Born to Protect’ was presented in 2020 with a focus on five strategic drivers in the business: climate action, circular economy, fair sourcing, enhancing diversity, and giving back to local communities.

Recently Moncler Grenoble [IG] launched a new ad campaign shot by Mario Sorrenti after the impressive fall 2024 fashion show held last February in Saint Moritz at the Clavadatsch lodge and its forest. These images are from that campaign.
AOC has long said that success seems to come more fruitfully in Europe to those who keep a lower profile — even when those leaders are Ruffini, Bernard Arnault and Ralph Lauren. This culture is notably different than the American way, where many of our billionaires play lethal shark-tank games 24/7/365.
LVMH Supports Moncler via Double R
Ruffini’s investment vehicle Double R holds a bit more than 16 percent of Moncler SpA. In September 2024, Double R welcomed LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, which took a 10 percent stake.
According to WWD: “Over the next 18 months, the plan is for Double R to buy more shares in Moncler SpA, boosting its stake to a maximum of 18.5 percent, consolidating Ruffini's hold as the largest single shareholder.
The words Ruffini has to say about both Bernard Arnault and Ralph Lauren are the kinds of sentiments you want embroidered on pillows for your home library. It’s refreshing to hear accomplished business people speaking so personally about each other.
AOC notes that certain names come up frequently and other names come up never in this particular context of business leaders praising and helping each other, especially in situations requiring a high level of trust. ~ Anne
