2022 was a stellar year for Deepika Padukone, one of the biggest stars in Bollywood. The actor became an ambassador for two of the world’s most prestigious brands: Cartier High Jewelry and Louis Vuitton. At the 75th 2022 Cannes Festival, Padukone was appointed to the nine-person jury.
Reality is that ever since Deepika Padukone landed on the 2018 TIME annual ‘100 Most Influential People’ list, the actor has used her platform in positive ways to advance the human condition at home in India and worldwide.

An elaborate soirée in Florence in the gorgeous garden of the Palazzo Corsini, was the scene of the new collection’s unveiling. The palace is known for its artistic heritage and is home to works by Rubens, Fra Angelico, and Caravaggio.
“The sense of beauty evolves,” Pierre Rainero, Cartier Director of image, style, and heritage explained at a presentation of the new High Jewelry collection. “At Cartier, we are on a permanent search. Le voyage recommencé is a journey of shapes. The idea of geometry is very important in the history of our creations,” he continues, evoking Cartier’s history with Art Deco. “The geometry in these creations is entirely new. And it’s one that could only exist now. The culture of the eye has evolved considerably,” he furthers. “In our world, beauty is still an objective and there is an expectation for this and for innovation, something that creates a surprise. When people come to us, they want everything.”
The showcasing of Le Voyage Recommencé had another Italian unveiling as Cartier organised an exhibition at the Villa Reale di Marlia in Tuscany, showcasing selective High Jewellery pieces. Staged by architect and decorator Patricia Urquiola, the exhibition displays more than 350 pieces that left guests breathless over the presentation.
As Jacqueline Karachi, Director of High Jewelry Creation at Cartier describes it, the new Le Voyage Recommencé is "a journey back to the heart of Cartier creation, an uninterrupted story being told over time."
