Cruz Co-Hosts Met Gala 2023

Tabitha Simmons styled Cruz, who will join Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel and Roger Federer to co-chair the 2023 Met Gala on May 1.

This year’s event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute will celebrate the opening of “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” The Lagerfeld exhibit will feature about 150 pieces, spanning the Chanel designer’s early career in the 1950s to his final collection in 2019.

Cruz’s Oscar Nomination for Parallel Mothers

Cruz was nominated for a 2022 Best Lead Actress Oscar for her role in Parallel Mothers, previously winning a best supporting actor role for Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

Her husband Javier Bardem was nominated the Best Lead Actor in Amazon’s Being the Ricardos. Nicole Kidman was Bardem’s costar, and she also was nominated for a Best Lead Actress Oscar opposite Cruz.

Life sorted out Bardem’s women actor’s conflict, and the Oscar went to Jessica Chastain for ‘The Eyes of Tommy Faye’. An Oscar did arrive in the Bardem-Cruz household, won by Javier Bardem.
