About Louis Vuitton ‘Horizon Soft’ Luggage via Marc Newson:

For his second range of Louis Vuitton’s rolling luggage, Marc utilised new technologies to ensure that weight was reduced to a minimum and that volume was maximised. The introduction of the thermo-fusing process and ultrasonic cutting techniques eliminated 95% of conventional stitching. The luggage is lightweight and strong, weighing only 2.9 kilos for the cabin size.

The outer shell is made of thermo-formed 3D knit with double-sided jacquard featuring Marc’s interpretation of Louis Vuitton’s signature Monogram: the innovative material is waterproof and very resilient. The knit is fully-fashioned in a custom-made technical yarn that includes elastic and thermo-fusible threads, using seamless knitting technology.
