Beauty Papers magazine is an exciting new UK magazine launched by makeup artist Maxine Leonard and creative director Valerie Wickes. The biannual publication debuts with ISSUE 0: ‘Good Bad Ugly Truths Lies.

Editor-in-Chief Maxine Leonard leads the editorial team and Valerie Wickes is the creative director. Carolina Otero, who worked at the Face, POP and Town Magazine is the art director and design is by David Arnott and Dan Vallins. Beauty editor is Alexandra Pouliadis, skincare editor is Nichola Joss, nutrition editor is Rosemary Ferguson and casting director is Shelley Durkan. The initial printing of Beauty Papers is 15,000 copies.

Beauty Papers isn’t an industry glossy designed to sell, sell, sell products. The Foundation Issue features opinion pieces from Kate Spicer, an essay on the allure of pale skin from an
art history perspective and contemporary observations in the form of excerpts from Yasmin Alibhai book Beyond The Veil.

Model Crista Cober fronts this beautiful editorial ‘Persephone’, styled by Ada Kokosar. Photographer Miguel Reveriego is in the studio for Beauty Papers inaugural summer 2015 issue.
