Eye: Karlie Kloss Works Fearless Wonders For Adidas & Stella McCartney Adidas Collection
/There was no resting on her Karlie Kloss laurels the night before the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai. Karlie flew her trainer Dara Hart of New York City's The Dogpound to join her onsite for one last pre-runway sweat session. And then Karlie made a video of their workout.
This summer in Seoul, Korea, Karlie and Dara worked out together, breaking a serious sweat in Adidas. Note that Dara's relationship is with Reebok, but Karlie Kloss is all in for Adidas.
Kloss is known for not faking anything she does, including her recent run in the New York City Marathon. Karlie ran the New York City marathon for the first time ever, and was sponsored by Addidas by Stella McCartney. Kloss fronted the brand's Ultraboost eco-friendly sneakers made from recycled plastic from the ocean.
Karlie appears in the powerful new adidas Running film Fearless AF, one of six female athletes defying stereotypical arguments about women in sports.
“I never thought I would ever run a marathon, but after completing my first half-marathon in 2015 and watching the New York City Marathon for years, I decided to take on the challenge,” Kloss explained. “My training has taught me that when you overcome fear and step outside your comfort zone, your mind and body are capable of more than you can imagine.”
Karlie previously ran the Paris Half Marathon back in 2015 and clocked her New York City Marathon completion at 4:41:49.
In these shots, Karlie wears athletic looks for the fall 2017 ad campaign by Stella McCartney for Adidas. Sustainability is a core value to Stella McCartney. Interviewed by adidas, the designer explains:
There are a lot of sustainable materials like organic cotton and recycled yarn; and innovations like the adidas DryDye technology – which uses no water at all to dye clothing. For Spring Summer 2014 we have specific Low Waste products which are created with 100% no waste: 95% of fabric is used during pattern cutting and the other 5% is recycled or repurposed.
Fearless For Forbes
Karlie's focused determination and strategic self-development put her on the cover of Forbes' 30 Under 30 list, part of the larger 600 of the brightest young entrepreneurs, innovators and game changers out there.
