Vala T | 'Be My Ghost' | Taka Mayumi | 'Be My Ghost' | French Revue de Modes #17 Fall/Winter 2010

Note| Nudity| Bert Berlin at NoirFacade has shared an important editorial on New Eroticism or female-centric exploration of erotic self.  I’ve watched NoirFacade soar in the last couple months in terms of its curating editorial perspective.

The daily fashion scans are becoming widespread — soon a dime a dozen — so I love seeing inquiring, creative minds spread their own wings. ‘Be My Gost’, lensed by Taka Maymi and featuring Vala T, styled by Sohei Yoshida, makes clear the depth of female sensuality and culture’s preoccupation with it.

Sometimes no words are required to explain a visual image. This is the case with ‘Be My Ghost’, featuring Vala T lensed by Take Mayumi for French Revue de Modes #17.

I hope that bloggers understand that we can change the cultural dialogue around female sexuality by defining the visual dialogue in broader, and sometimes intellectual terms.

Yes, even in America there is room for intellectual exploration of female sexuality and imagery. There is significant power in our perspetives, especially teaming up with artists, photographers and the realm of creative power that now connects us globally.

We have the benefit of international perspectives from Europe. Scandinavia is as exciting as France and Brazil. Asia is moving now to communicate sensuality. Victoria’s Secret, probably the biggest voice in female imagery in America, will not control this dialogue going forward.

I thank Bert Berlin at NoirFacade for making it clear that this blog’s voice intends to play a role in articulating this New Eroticism conversation.
