Cate Blanchett | Will Davidson | 'Fashion & Theatre' | Harper's Bazaar Australia May 2011

Will Davidson captures Cate Blanchett dressed in Romance Was Born for the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar Australia.
Blanchett has supported the Sydney duo Luke Sales and Anna Plunkett, aka Romance Was Born, wearing their clothes on the red carpet. Her 2009 crochet dress made quite a statement at the opening of the Screen Worlds exhibition at Melbourne’s Australian Centre for the Moving Image in September 2009.
Blanchett and husband Andrew Upton, the co-artistic directors of Sydney Theatre Company, have invited Romance Was Born to design the costumes for the upcoming production Edward Gant’s Amazing Feats of Loneliness, written by award-winning Scottish playwright Anthony Neilson. It opens at La Boite theatre in Brisbane in May and transfers to the STC’s Wharf Theatre in June.
This edited online version of Cate’s Harper’s Australia interview is focused on fashion designers and the arts.
