Lily Aldridge Shoots Lauren by Ralph Lauren FW 2019 with Dixie Pearl and Caleb Followill
/Victoria’s Secret Angel Lily Aldridge showcases Lauren by Ralph Lauren’s FW 2019 campaign, lensed by Liz Collins.
With the exact status of the VS Angels drifting in ambiguity — the fashion show cancelled as an over-the-top showgirl event — and a move toward a more one-on-one relationship with the VS customer (now that Rihanna has defined what an inclusive brand looks like), Lily’s next moves are in work.
I left VS over this very issue, with every instinct telling me that breaking the precious personal relationship we had with American women would ultimately result in a negative future for VS. Sadly, I was right.
Being associated with the Ralph Lauren brand isn’t a bad place for Lily to re-engage after the birth of her son Caleb Followill eight months ago. The Nashville beauty just launched a new mandarin-spiked rose-and-peony fragrance inspired by the bloom-filled gardens at Aldridge’s Nashville home, and it bears more than just her name.
Called ‘Haven’ the fragrance prioritizes sustainable packaging design and includes a plantable card inside embedded with wildflower seeds. Fragrance #2 is already on schedule for next month. It’s called Summit and is a spicy musk evocative of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Vogue writes: :As her debut beauty launch—and the first project from a new collaboration between IMG, Aldridge’s longtime agency, and Interstellar, a subsidiary of the fragrance company behind scents from fashion houses such as Lanvin, Coach, and Rochas—it is also the beginning of Lily Aldridge: the brand.”
