Andrej Pejic as Marilyn Monroe in 'Norman Jean' by Jenna Elizabeth
/There was no doubt in my mind that Andrej Pejic was on his way to channeling Marilyn Monroe any day now, when I wrote ‘Marilyn Where Art Thou’ on March 1, posting Andrej’s photo shoot with Sabine Villard.
I have a private line to Marilyn’s spirit and — to be honest — I’m not sure how my soulmate will feel about this amazing new film that Andrej made with Prince Chenoa and Jacob Dekat from Lovecat Magazine and the film director Jenna Elizabeth.
Says Elizabeth of the film, which was styled by Patricia Field: “It looks at Marilyn’s status as a sexual icon and explores the societal implications of the sex-kitten femme.”

In fact Marilyn’s greatest upset was the feeling that she was never taken seriously as an intellectual mind. Watching her get off an airplane and share her thoughts about human rights blew my mind the first time I heard Marilyn speak off camera.
Simply stated, Andrej Pejic is gifted and brilliant in ‘Andrej Pejic: Norman Jean’, possessed with a larger-than-life natural presence that makes other models seem so self-absorbed, stiff and self-conscious. He is captivating, seductive, light-hearted and engaging, all the while knowing that we are wrapped around his beautifully-manicured finger with rapt attention.
Looking for new words to describe Andrej — whatever my reservations are as a woman speaking for Marilyn — he is absolutely delightful. I saw the film on LoveCat’s website and just laughed unreservedly — on the sad day of September 11 no less.
