Alexandra Carl | Damon Baker | 'Creature' | Phoenix Rising

Within 5 minutes of each other I saw these new images of Alexandra Carl, lensed by Damon Baker in a visual composition called ‘Creature’ (via FGR) and was contacted by people in Sudan, who have asked for my help again on the issue of flogging women in Sudan.
Because Anne of Carversville is a women’s lifestyle blog — for Smart Sensuality people (sexy, stylish and with heart) — and I am an ardent feminist who believes strongly in positive sexuality, people know they can turn to me. I became the leading American voice in two women’s rights cases in 2009, one in Sudan and the other in Zambia.
Five minutes after watching it, the video has been removed by YouTube. Not to worry. Files are on the way to me, and they will not be censored here. We are putting it up and moving it as YouTube takes down the video.
My only point to the huge rush of traffic that this channel is experiencing and in particular, by young French women and their friends (the French are always more political than the American women), is that when we’re talking feathers, this is serious business.
It was Aristotle who argued that women are animals and cannot be left to make decisions on our own. Socrates and Plato, to a lesser extent, believed that women could rule as well as men. Aristotle and monotheism got together, and it’s been downhill for women every since.
I am personally thrilled with visuals like Damon Baker’s and all the ones the high-end, sensuality editorials websites have been unearthing. No one has to say a word; I will be the bad girl. Just please keep them coming — and especially feathers, birds. Joanna’s earlier editorial of Anja Rubik lensed by Camilla Akrans is perfect.
The Internet is pulling together people who want to change our world and women’s lives in particular. Fashion has a place in this movement. Please join it. Anne
