Adriana Lima | Fabio Bartelt | 'Pierrô in Love' | Vogue Brazil February 2011

Adriana Lima lights up the pages of Vogue Brazil’s February 2011 editorial ‘Pierrô in Love’ in looks photographed by Fabio Bartelt.  Images supplied by FGR, where a bit of debate about the suitability of VS models for ‘real modeling’ ensues.

Comment #1 I don’t know what people have against VS models. I think this would look the same with or without a high fashion model.

Comment #2 It’s not that they have something against them (or at least I don’t), but girls like Lima, Candice, Kerr, and to some lesser extent, Aless, don’t have that intangible ability to create fascinating photographs using their emotions or body language… they are simply pretty. VS is just fine for them because they’re selling underwear, but when it comes to editorials, there needs to be that extra connection to the clothes and the feel of the shoot. Lima is used to relying on her looks rather than using any modeling skill. Now, whether you personally believe that modeling is a skill and not just simply based on looks is another story altogether.

Comment #4 i love her, and yeah, instead of all those dummies you call models, this girl has a personality, she was made for catwalk and commercials, because she is HOT. and VS models are only the FUCKING BESTS. The only models with hot bodies, not hangers, plus their awesome personality.
