Already a mother of Pedro, age 6, Wellsh is now pregnant with a girl and she dreams of returning to Brazil so that her children can learn the same traditions that have formed her essence. Amanda shares her deep respect for fellow Brazilian Gisele Bundchen. "I was inspired by her sincerity and her strength, but also by her commitment to the environment. Ecology is one of our priorities to save the planet and ensure a future for our children. I recycle, I consume organic and I am angry when I see so much plastic used for packaging. I often talk about it to my son. "
Amanda hates clichés: those of the perfect wife and mother in particular. The former student in architecture explains: "The right angles do not attract me. . . . Nothing is rectilinear, perfect, inflexible, as I had been told: I have a blood temperament and my wedding with Lucas (Salvato, an entrepreneur) is a journey every day, with ups and downs. Living together makes you wonder constantly. Being a couple is an art, just like being a mom. "
In her candid comments, Amanda also reflects personally on being pregnant with Pedro at age 24.
"These sentences that you are told when you are pregnant (" Oh, this is the most beautiful thing in the world! ") are so silly and sometimes hypocritical . Seeing my body change, hear the heartbeat of my baby, feel it move in my belly — it is an extraordinary experience, surprising, dizzying. I lived it and I saw it in a different way, but without wanting to put superlatives at any price. “
“Being a mother is a challenge,” Wellsh continues. “We must make sacrifices, give love, protection, be a friend and have authority, but also to take care of yourself, otherwise your children are not well.” Bursting with laughter, she adds: “And if I take care of myself, I feel guilty of course!”
As for her beauty secret? Amanda’s answer is self-confidence. "I'm not afraid of my emotions, what I think, what I wear. I am unique. And if I do not please some people, so be it. "
