Monica Bellucci Covers Esquire Spain August 2018 | Italian Star Set To Play Tina Modotti

Italian film star Monica Bellucci covers the August 2018 issue of Esquire Spain, lensed by Ricardo Abrahao. Styling team Álvaro de Juan and Maria Molina choose an Emporio Armani coat with Eres bodysuit for the cover, with more bodycon looks from Stella McCartney, Pucci, Rochas and more inside.

Bellucci will soon reach one of her most important film goals -- to play the role of feminist revolutionary Tina Modotti. The six-part miniseries will be directed by Italian director Edoardo de Angelis ('Indivisible') with shooting in Mexico, Los Angeles and Italy.

Modotti was an Italian who emigrated to the U.S. in 1913, acted briefly in Hollywood silent films, then became known during the 1930s in Europe and Mexico for both her photography and her left-wing revolutionary fervor. She joined a group of major contemporary artists in Mexico and is considered a proto-feminist who advocated new freedoms for women in the early 20th century, writes Variety.

Bellucci, 53, walked the recent Dolce & Gabbana menswear show, appearing for the first time since 1992. The actor frequently appears in print campaigns for the brand.
