Anastasia Radevich is both shoe designer and artist, sculpturing shapes for the female foot made of romantic, natural shapes and textures. The shoe becomes a symbol of feminine power and cultural meaning and not merely an extravagant decoration. If one sees the influence of Alexander McQueen in Radevich’s shoes, it’s true.
After graduating from The London College of Fashion, Anastasia spent two years working under the Also Group in Montreal, designed under All Saints founders’ Bolongaro Trevor brand, and then interned under Alexander McQueen and Nicholas Kirkwood. In the case of Alexander McQueen, Radevich showed up at his door.
Now designing her own label, shoes become an artistic canvas for Anastasia Radevich, who comes from a family of shoemakers. In an interview with the Montreal Gazette. the artist explains that the concept that concern her focus on ideas such as “how our civilization can be lost and vanish due to the problems caused by humans and after, all that is left is the beauty of nature.”
