It’s unfortunate that Karl Lagerfeld just can’t come to grips with what he’s not good at — and that would be photography. I’ve said countless times that Lagerfeld should NEVER attempt to convey any visual commentary on sensuality. Like these intense blazing lights, he takes a blow torch to all the nuances of femaleness, refashioning them in his own Karl imprint of what women should visually and metaphorically.
This editorial is sterile, lifeless and totally artificial in the extreme. Nadja Bender, Ashleigh Good, Cara Delevingne, Sebastien Jondeau & others play at being good Karl kitty cats — as if anything will unseat Choupette.
