Iekeliene Stange is lensed by Kerry Dean in Conde Nast’s new Baku Magazine’s December issue. Baku is distributed in the UK, France and the US with Azerbajan’s president’s daughter Leyla Aliyeva acting as editor-in-chief for the publication she helped found. Mary Fellowes, fashion director of Vogue Turkey, is the fashion director.
Condé Nast has said that Baku International will collaborate on its covers and contents with a range of international contemporary artists, and would be a “free-flowing collaboration between fashion and art photographers, writers, designers, other key figures, and the editorial team”.
Baku is a spin-off of a magazine launched in Russia in 2007 and named after Azerbaijan’s capital city.
