Some beauty trends are timeless. Seeing Swedish photographer Mikael Schulz’s images of models Ellinore Erichsen and Maria Eriksson, created by beauty artist Viktoria Sörensdotter reminded me of images of the Omo Valley people. First published on FGR.
Omo Valley is the source of inspiration for my 2013 GlamTribale collection. We will be following not only the artistic inspirations of the Mursi and Surma tribes, the the intersections of their history with modern culture. It’s only in the last decade that the outside world has penetrated the tribes of the Omo Valley.
