We opened this morning with Uma Thurman for Harper’s Bazaar UK and found ourselves momentarily confused by Uma’s work on an important new movie ‘Girl Soldier’ that highlights the atrocities perpetuated against girls with guns in Uganda, who are forced to fight and frequently have their faces disfigured for disobedience, and Charlize Theron’s endless work for women in The Congo.
These beautiful blondes aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, so to speak. Charlize, in particular, has a deep commitment to Eve Ensler’s City of Joy for rape victims.
