Madonna & Andrea Roseborough | Tom Munro | Harper's Bazaar US December 2011

Writer Naomi Wolf delivers a smashing interview with Madonna as Madonna: The Director’s Cut for Harper’s Bazaar December 2011.

Tom Munro focuses his lens on one of the ultimate Smart Sensuality women and actress Andrea Riseborough, a leading actress in M’s new film’ W.E.’. Arianne Phillips styles the shoot.

“I think my behavior and my lifestyle threaten a lot of social norms, like the movie does,” (Madonna) observes. “I think there are a lot of parallels and connections.” For her star, Andrea Riseborough, it was liberating to work with such a powerful woman on a female-centric film. “I was interested in the strong, interesting person apart from the public persona, and I was not disappointed,” she says of Madonna. “I found it hugely fulfilling.”

Granted, Naomi Wolf is writing, but this interview may be the first time we’ve read the term female-centric in the popular press. Anne of Carversville didn’t invent this term, but we have a Google stronghold on the terms ‘female-centric values’, which represent the core of our editorial and life philosophy.

If you like AOC, you will love the Naomi Wolf interview of Madonna. We’ll highlight the key points shortly.
