Aline Weber | Camilla Akrans | Numero 128 November 2011

Camilla Akrans shoots Aline Weber in ‘Aline in the Garden of Eden’ for Numero 128, November 2011 issue.
White purity and simplicity of design underscore the unsullied nature of female sensuality, even if Aline is armed —not only with the symbolic juicy fruit held near her pubic bone and in her mouth — but also with arrows in her carryall.
This editorial is a different ‘take’ on style and female sexuality, playing into one of the biggest editorial confrontations of the season, with softness and Grecian maiden designs. Aline is Athena, not Aphrodite — as defined by the Greek Gods.
We know that most women are both Athena and Aphrodite, if only the male morality police and the women who speak their language would leave us alone.
Update: ironically, I just found a relevant snake image left out of the current editorial posting that’s circulating the Internet. I’m so sick of incomplete editorials and dealing with blogger judgments on what images should be uploaded and which ones not.
Whoever decided that the snake and nudity pics weren’t worth circulating should be sent to the corner with a dunce hat. Anne
