Star Jones Co-Hosts Hillary Clinton Fundraiser in New York on Dec. 10, 2015

In 2012, women of color -- and especially Black women -- voted at a higher rate than any other group, representing a key constituency that elected President Obama. Black women voted in historically high numbers, voting Democratic and delivering a victory to the nation's first African American president.

In the 2008 election, many of these women were split between Senators Clinton and Obama. Now they are united in their commitment to Hillary Clinton.

Next month on Dec. 10,  Star Jones, former co-host of 'The View' and president of the Professional Diversity Network and National Association of Professional Women; Cora Masters Barry, widow of former D.C. Mayor Marion Barry; Yolanda Caraway, president and CEO of the Caraway Group; and Minyon Moore, principal of Dewey Square Group and head of state and local affairs and multicultural strategies practices for the Clinton campaign are hosting an exclusive private reception and fundraiser called 'African-American Women For Hillary Clinton.'

Donations begin at $1000.

Survey Monkey Online Poll

In a new Survey Monkey online poll conducted Sunday through Tuesday among 5,755 adults nationwide, including 1,983 Democratic voters and independent voters who lean Democratic Hillary Clinton maintains a 16-point lead over Bernie Sanders.

Clinton carries 66% of all Black voters, male and female, vs. 16% for Sanders. Note that the race is closer than phone polls released this week, but it may be more accurate.  A new Bloomberg Politics poll shows Clinton with a 25-point lead over Sanders.

Blue Menu Politics: Nancy Pelosi's Sinfully Rich Chocolate Mousse Recipe

AOC has revived an older FB page 'Spittin' Out the Pitts', dedicated in 2012 to defeating then Rep. Joe Pitts, mastermind of the bulk of anti-women's health legislation in Congress. We've changed the name to Blue Menu Politics, a companion to HillaryWomen News, dedicated exclusively to electing Hillary Clinton. Blue Menu Politics tracks news about progressive women in American politics -- whether they are Democrats, Independents or Republicans. Attempting to be witty, BMP mixes food with feminist politics -- and with an irreverent attitude.

Obviously, the vast majority of people featured on Blue Menu Politics will be Democratic women who are Hillary supporters. The columns will be featured on both Facebook and here on Anne of Carversville

DEVOUT CATHOLIC NANCY PELOSI SHARES SINFULLY RICH CHOCOLATE MOUSSE RECIPE

The East Coast Spittin' Sister is still on the hunt for chicken recipes to honor Bernie's New Hampshire chickens riding in the back of the Bernie bus. I admit it's a struggle to find something plain and simple for Bernie and just a little bit posh for me.

Perhaps the answer lies in my Thanksgiving chicken recipe from a Virginia inn, but it will take the weekend to work out the perfect logistics, as 'The Arkansas Travelers' are on their way to New Hampshire, too, ready to celebrate Hillary's filing her papers in the state on Monday.

Now I've got a northern/southern thing to worry about and downplaying the Bernie Bros deafening cries that Hillary just raised $1 million in Beverly Hills last night.

NANCY PELOSI RIDES AGAIN

Let's get real here. My chicken drama is nothing compared to the life of Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. As Politico wrote today in 'Nancy Pelosi's power play', the woman has all but risen from the dead, thanks to the House Freedom Caucus.

For anyone thinking that Pelosi might be following John Boehner into retirement, she says "think again". Where does Nancy Pelosi get her energy!!!!!

CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM FOR BREAKFAST

You won't hear this on Chris Matthews Hardball -- you know, Chris is trying to butter up the ladies lately -- but the secret to Nancy Pelosi's iron-clad grip on vote counting and controlling her spirited group of Democratic DC change agents is chocolate ice cream for breakfast.

Pelosi spilled the coffee beans to Food and Wine last year, admitting "I’ve been eating dark chocolate ice cream for breakfast for as long as I can remember. I don’t see it as different from having a cup of coffee. The flavors keep getting darker and darker, which I love. Double Rainbow has one called Ultra Chocolate; you can just imagine how delicious that is. And Three Twins, I like their Bittersweet Chocolate. Sugar cones are my thing.'

NANCY PELOSI'S FAVORITE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE RECIPE

The East Coast Spttin' Sister can't bear the sight of ice cream at 6am. In fact, I can't remember the last time I ate ice cream or chocolate mousse. Nancy Pelosi may be carb crazy and remain slim, but my Midwestern body type can't take it.

However, if I was going to sin a little -- and hot sex was not an option -- I would be sordidly tempted by Nancy Pelosi's chocolate mousse recipe. The Democratic firebrand mother of five Tweeted the recipe (see photo, too) last Thanksgiving, and we reprint it on Blue Menu Politics.

* 1 pound good-quality dark chocolate, broken into pieces
* 8 ounces unsalted butter, also in pieces
* 8 eggs, separated
* 4 tablespoons sugar
* 1/2 cup heavy cream

Directions: In a double boiler, melt chocolate slowly, careful not to boil. Remove from heat and stir in butter until smooth. Set aside and let cool for 15 minutes. In separate bowl, beat egg whites and sugar until soft peaks form. Carefully fold egg mixture into chocolate mixture. In another bowl, beat cream until stiff, and then add to mixture. Put in individual cups or glasses, or keep in one large bowl. Chill for at least two hours.
