Take Away Democratic Superdelegates, Hillary Clinton Still Leads

Changing Superdelegate Rules Would Still Leave Bernie Sanders Behind CNN

Bernie Sanders supporters believe that the presidential election has been stolen from them. We repeat that the Sanders camp lacks basic math skills. Large crowds do not determine presidential candidates. Voting does.

Based on CNN's analysis, making major changes to the ways Democrats allocate their delegates, and even abolishing the superdelegates system, would still result in Clinton holding a large lead over Sanders and poised to close the Democratic nomination.

Only if the Sanders supporters can eliminate voting and substitute large crowds, chair throwing, intimidating Hillary supporters at her rallies, and booing loudly at her name as the criteria for winning, does Bernie Sanders come out on top.

The Bernie Sanders Democratic Wall Scam Narrative

Sanders crashes into Democratic Party Wall Politico

This Politico headline could also have been: SANDERS DEMANDS EQUAL REPRESENTATION ON DNC PLATFORM COMMITTEE

In one case, the headline reflects a Sanders camp demand for more representation that they are supposedly entitled to but are being denied by the DNC establishment.

The second headline (mine) reflects the unreasonableness of the Sanders demand, given Clinton's strong lead in pledged delegates, the popular vote, and superdelegates.

Take away the superdelegates, and I can see giving Sanders at least another seat on the committee. But his demand that he have 7, Clinton have 7 and the neutral chair be approved by both committees is another example of the lack of math skills that run rampant in the Sanders camp.

Basically Bernie wants a coup, based on the size of his crowds and bringing new people into the party -- even though there is no reason to assume they are in for the long haul. And this petulant demand and finger-waving comes while Bernie is calling Hillary Clinton a "disaster" for the Democratic party.

BernieBros Scream At Hillary Supporters At Her Events

Look at the joy in self righteous anger at these men, some of whom who can't scream loud enough so they use amplified megaphones, at those who support Hillary Clinton. Disturbing and common. This photo, from Katherine Kaufmann on Twitter, is iconic. ~ Paul Kingsley writing for HillaryWomen News

There is also a first-hand commentary from someone who attended this event. I'm not using her name -- although she courageously did -- given the threats by the BernieBros that are very disturbing.

I was at that rally, and the police were out in force...an abundance of them. This was not the fault of the police...So let's stop blaming them for everything.

The protesters were behind barricades, and this country guarantees the right to protest and freedom of speech. Let's put the blame where it really belongs. The blame lies strictly with the protesters, both Bernie and Trump protesters, although there were many more Bernie supporters protesting. The lengths they went to, the vile language, the megaphones, the screaming, all of that was done and more.

What I found most upsetting was the looks of pure HATE on their faces. That, more than any of the other things, was the thing I will remember most. How is it possible for young people, with little to no political experience, to have so much hate for someone they do not know at all...but, know only what the media feeds them. They don't know her political record for decades, they know nothing of the work she has done, or her passion for her work, and righting of wrongs for those in need..or fighting for equality for all. No, they know nothing of any of the good this woman has done.

They know only the lies, untruths, innuendos, and smears, that the GOP, in their decades long fear of Hillary, has put out there, and that the 'Yellow Journalism' media has continued to spread. And, they know that she is a WOMAN! ...And that scares the HELL out of them...Because some men are really threatened by women to the extent that they not only verbally abuse them, but physically abuse them as well.

The thought of a woman as the Country's leader, when the job 'should' belong to a man, is abhorrent to them. THAT is the hatred that I saw on those faces as I passed by...And that scared the hell out of me.

You're going to start seeing a lot more pro-Hillary ads on YouTube. Here's why Mother Jones

and Pro-Clinton super PAC to start airing election ads on Wednesday CNN

Mother Jones writes today about the upcoming Priorities USA ad campaign. THE START DATE MOVED UP THIS MORNING. The ads will launch in Ohio, Florida, Virginia and Nevada on Wednesday May 18, and not the day after the Calif. primary, as stated in the otherwise excellent Mother Jones piece.

Bernie Sanders' persistent attacks on Hillary Clinton -- rather than Donald Trump -- is giving heart palpitations to many Democrats, who know Sanders is weakening her. Hence, the decision to open up an aggressive campaign against Donald Trump now. As noted in the Mother Jones piece, there will be much more digital content than previously, in a recognition that digital is a major source of campaign information.

Sanders Criticizes Dems For 'Courting Disaster' With Clinton Nomination

Chief Sanders surrogate Susan Sarandon is praying for a health emergency that derails Hillary Clinton's Democratic nomination. Campaign chairman Jeff Weaver says the superdelegates should overturn the popular vote in which Hillary leads Bernie by over 3 million votes -- and potentially close to 4 million in June. This Sanders tribe is a real democratic class act.

Bernie Sanders weakened heading into the Golden State MSNBC

The Bernie Sanders campaign California State director, Michael Ceraso resigned on Wednesday, telling Politico that he needed resources for neighborhood-level organizing and staff. The Sanders campaign said it was committed to TV advertising in one of the nation's most expensive markets.

MSNBC reports this morning that Sanders officials say they “probably” won’t spend more on television advertising for the June 7 primary, causing some California political experts to say that the Sanders campaign is basically issuing a declaration of surrender.

In another sign of trouble, a senior aide says the campaign is likely to stop producing new TV spots all together. That, after the campaign has cut more than 264 different TV ads, choosing to invest in ads and dedicated supporters in caucus states.

The campaign has been spending about $40 million a month, causing them to enter a cash crunch when donations slowed to $26 million last month and potentially a slower rate in May. The Sanders campaign issued a plea for cash this week, saying that electing Hillary Clinton would be a 'disaster' for both the Democratic party and the nation.

Bernie Sanders, the Zombie Candidate by David Wade Politico

I don’t claim that the dragged-out primary made the difference in November 2004; the race came down to the wire, and big forces—including post-9/11 anxiety and “Swift Boat” smears—loomed large. But in presidential campaigns, the one resource that’s never renewable is time. Zombie candidates can’t win the nomination, but they squander vast amounts of time and slowly chip away at the prohibitive front-runner. Some of the damage is obvious—the endless series of public dents in the candidate’s reputation; some are subtle, noticeable in ways that perhaps only political operatives can appreciate.

It’s an article of faith in politics that competitive primaries create stronger nominees, and I witnessed this firsthand as well. Kerry grew immensely as a candidate in the course of being tested by rivals from Dick Gephardt to Howard Dean; ditto for Barack Obama in 2008. Healthy competition is a good thing. But continuing to contest a primary after your path to victory disappears is not healthy; it actively hinders your would-be partisan ally.

Guess Who Once Lavished Praise on Hillary Clinton? The Atlantic

Speaking on Fox News in 2012, Donald Trump, whose supporters love his straight talk express (who was that -- John McCain) heaped "extravagant praise" on both Hillary and Bill Clinton. The subject under discussion was Hillary's prospective 2016 presidential run.

In his own words, Sir Orange LaPouf told Fox:

"Hillary Clinton I think is a terrific woman. I’m a little biased because I’ve known her for years. I live in New York. She lives in New York. And I’ve known her and her husband for years and I really like them both a lot. And I think she really works hard. And again, she’s given an agenda that’s not all of her. But again, I think she really works hard. I think she does a good job. And I like her."
