Film | Tom Lowe's 'TimeScapes' Stunning Images of American Southwest

This is production footage from Tom Lowe’s forthcoming debut film TimeScapes, a portrait of the American Southwest which will be released until May 2012. See TimeScapes Facebook page. Discovery Channel writes:

If you’ve been to the national parks of the American Southwest, you already know that it’s a geological marvel so astounding that it almost looks like the landscape of the moon or Mars. This idea is honed down to its core with the strategic use of natural lighting, slow-motion and time lapse playback, and meticulous digital cinematography (with a Red Epic and Canon RAW still camera set-up) in the upcoming nature film, TimeScapes. Behind the cameras is director Tom Lowe, who beautifully shot and edited this time-lapsed portrait of the southwest.
