One of our favorite creatures — the rare Peruvian pink dolphins — have recovered from a 50 percent drop in population due to drought in a remote part of the Peruvian Amazon. Conservationists say that a return of ample rainfall brought the river to very high levels, allowing the pink dolphins to recover in one Amazon tributary. The grey dolphin population has rebounded by 30 percent.
