It’s difficult to believe that this hulking 1973 John Lautner-designed, Palm Springs spaceship-like estate was once the private home of legendary comedian Bob Hope. Still on the real-estate market and at half its original 2013 asking price of $25M, Louis Vuitton will unveil its upcoming cruise show at the location on May 6.

“We were immediately taken with this construction. This estate demonstrates an approach that mirrors our own: it is creative above all. It symbolizes just as perfectly the harmonious union between the vision of Ghesquière and the iconic spirit of the Maison Louis Vuitton,” explained Michael Burke, chairman and executive officer of Louis Vuitton in a prepared statement.

Louis Vuitton will also shoot multiple ad campaigns at the estate. The exclusive show will be broadcast live at 6:15 p.m. the same day on louisvuitton.com for those not able to snag an invite.
