Hank Butitta's Dream Bus Rolls Out of Vegas & Back To Minnesota
/
In a project that could easily move to Kickstarter next, Minnesota guy Hank Butitta, a grad student at the School of Architecture at the University of Minnesota has launched a spontaneous thesis project that was a far reach for any of us.
Without a topic that interested him and about 15 weeks to finish his big design statement, Hank Butitta bought a bus.
The rest is history, with Hank and Co. touring the western states in his redesigned bus that makes a unique contribution to the tiny homes movement. With one madcap idea, Hank is being featured on major blogs across America including Gizmodo and The New York Daily News. Also Curbed.
Come on New York Times. Is Hank not sophisticated enough for the really big read??? Or are you still playing catch-up in our digital world? NPR has dropped in for an onsite visit, and we’re all infatuated with the possibilities of Hank’s pragmatic yet fantastical, really big small-scale architectural vision.
Follow Hank Butitta and friends on Facebook, as he circles back towards Minnesota with a better understanding of what it means to live in his bus for a month. This is what we call the ultimate road test of a terrific idea, based on old-fashioned American pragmatism and Midwestern vision.
Sending love to Hank Butitta from a girl born in Lake Benton, Minnesota, then a town of 1000 people. You see, we country hicks to have a bit of artistry up our sleeves. See you on Kickstarter, Hank. Call me when you’re ready! ~ Anne
