Peter Gronquist’s ‘The Evolution Will Be Fabulous’ is open at Gallery 1988 in Venice, California until Nov 4. The solo show features all embellished animal tropies, the majority of them associated with signs of wealth, global conquest — and yes, luxury brands.
The brilliant Peter Gronquist describes himself as a painter, making him versatile beyond words. Born in Portland, Oregon in 1979, Peter grew up in a creative family and began drawing and painting as a young child. After highschool, Peter attended the School of Visual Arts for two years, then finished his BFA at the San Francisco Art Institute in 2001. Peter currently resides in Oakland California (EAST BAY!) and tries to work on his art every day. See website.
