Daily Paper's Pan African Vision Updates Spring 2021 Collection
/Amsterdam-based Daily Paper adds an update to its Spring 2021 collection with what it calls a mid-season Resort line tailored towards the warmer months ahead. Featuring shapes and details inspired by African flags, the continent’s rich and diverse cuisine, the range of newly-designed summer gear expands Daily Paper’s offering of colorful unisex essential sets and summer accessories.
Founded by Jefferson Osei, Abderrahmane Trabsini and Hussein Suleiman, the new capsule flies their flags: Ghana, Morocco and Somalia.
The three men were born in Amsterdam and grew up in the city’s Old West neighborhood. Osei’s family is originally from Ghana, while Suleiman’s family is from Somalia and Trabsini’s family is Moroccan.
Their messaging is inspired by the African Diaspora, Afrofuturism, and their roots, Vogue wrote in advance of Daily Paper’s recent store opening at 18 Delancey Street in New York: Daily Paper NYC website.
