The incomparable Patti Wilson [IG] is one of AOC’s fav stylists — forever. ‘Fierce’ is a word with little meaning today. Everybody is ‘fierce’ including pussycats, who collect the award for sending a single tweet under a pseudonym.

Stylist Patti Wilson is a truly fierce human her entire life. She reminds me of a Bugati or Maserati, when the fashion focus is fearless, commandingly-sexy, sophisticated, bold-elegance women. There is nothing subtle about Patti Wilson, BUT she does not go off the rails — ever.

Vulgarity is not in Wilson’s vocab, but she will push ‘good taste’ to the edge of the precipice. She will never choke a Maserati like the guy racing Anne down Park Avenue at 2am one summer night.

What can I say . . . we had to stop at a red light — neither of us was going to run a red light on Park Avenue. . . well we blew through one . . . sort of. But we had a 50-block run, until he choked on green and I left him stalled in his rich-boy car. I was great on the clutch always and that night in particular.

When Patti Wilson is free to excel with a decent budget — like we are seeing in this ELLE US [IG] September 2023 fashion story ‘Body Shop’ — Wilson’s stylist DNA shifts into high gear. Boom. Tom Ford and Carine Roitfeld are smiling in approval, because they hover in Wilson’s inner-circle psyche. We are off and running, watching fashion excellence in bold, fast-action. These fashion editorial sightings are few and far between these days, but we have a winner here.

Scandebergs notes that ‘Body Shop’ is VROOM VROOM. Anne isn’t the only creative seeing fast-car fashion action in this terrific fashion story.
