“I didn’t want a complicated story, it’s resort,” Dundas said. “I make clothes that allow a woman to feel sexy and feminine and still feel strong. . . . Comfort might be the one positive thing we’ve maintained from the pandemic,” the designer shared with media.

The Norwegian designer zeroed in very specifically on the ‘90s supermodels in creating the new collection. AOC reminds people that those supermodels were size 4-6, pre Kate Moss and the heroin chic size 0 girls. At the time of the original supers, 25% of American women were size 4-6, a percentage very different from the size 0 challenge accompanied by the reality of American women becoming larger every year.

“I pride myself on wanting women to feel great no matter their shape or age. I dress royals who are in their 80s, I dress models and I dress Lizzo; it’s wonderful to make someone feel confident and comfortable with clothes.”

Dundas and his partner are experimenting with fashion in the metaverse, with a positive affirmation of the clothes being sustainable. The comment is smile-worthy and true.
