Claudia Schiffer's Joins IMG, Wears Tuxedo Style for Vogue Arabia September 2024
/Fashion icon model Claudia Schiffer made a NY Fashion Week announcement about her new home with IMG Models. Schiffer has ended her previous representation by Creative Artists Agency.
Business press has consistently promoted Claudia Schiffer as the highest paid model in the world at age 21, three years after being discovered in a Dusseldorf disco at age 17.
Schiffer got her start — like so many other success stories — in a Guess campaign, lensed by Ellen von Unwerth. Claudia’s relationship with Chanel, as a muse to Karl Lagerfeld, was a critical part of her fashion industry portfolio.
Her relationship with the house of Versace also reaped major rewards for Schiffer and Versace both.
Fast-forward to now, and the supermodel mother of three children with husband, film director Matthew Vaughn graces the September 2024 issue of Vogue Arabia [IG] with three ‘class act’ tuxedo-style covers bottom of images, lensed by Kayt Jones [IG] days after her 54th birthday.

Le Smoking Forever
Schiffer’s tuxedo-fever fashion looks honor images of the supermodel at the Fall/Winter 1996-1997 Yves Saint Laurent runway sporting Le Smoking. When the legendary designer stepped away from YSL on January 7, 2002, he said “I am proud that women all over the world wear pantsuits, tuxedoes, pea coats, and trench coats.”
Is Yves Saint Laurent the most life-changing fashion designer for women ever? If we’re counting revolutionary pieces for modern women, he’s at the top of the list.
As for Claudia Schiffer’s covers, Vogue Arabia’s Nitya Chablani writes that the supermodel has over 1000 covers, including 63 earlier Vogue covers, with Vogue Arabia September 2024 notching #64.
Her 1,000+ covers make her the Guinness World Record holder for the first model to do it. Schiffer’s cover story face has graced the covers of Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Time and Vanity Fair.
In 2019, Schiffer curated a Rizzoli book, "Claudia Schiffer," highlighting her favorite fashion moments. The world’s top photographers documenting the German-born fashion star include Arthur Elgort, Ellen von Unwerth, Francesco Scavullo, Herb Ritts, Mario Testino, Patrick Demarchelier, Peter Lindbergh, Richard Avedon, Steven Klein, Steven Meisel and more.
