As fashion photography travels to fewer on-location spots, and then shoots against that greyish-white background instead, there’s less and less artisatry and visual interest in images.

Because of our Renew project, we are constantly looking at imagery from 10-15 years ago or later. Today’s imagery does not hold up well. And yes, we understand the importance of video.

Anne is always a pragmatist and understands tight budgets in this challenging fashion landscape. This graphic presentation is a small twist, but it carries some serious weight. The images challenge us to be more clever, especially with a tight fashion shoot budget — and an expanding cast of ‘important people’ necessary to execute it. Scientifically the brains of people looking at the images will get a jolt of cerebral activity, which is our collective mission.
