Cannes Film Festival 2018 feels so long ago, but the Harper’s Bazaar Spain cover story was born there, with news of a major deal for ‘The 355’, a female-led heist thriller starring Jessica Chastain, Diane Kruger (post 2018), Fan Bingbing, Lupita Nyong’o, and Penelope Cruz.

'355' is named after the first female spy in the American revolution, although her precise identity is not known. In Chastain's film, five female operatives band together to stop a global organization determined to acquire a deadly weapon that would thrust the world into chaos. The women are strangers and technically enemies in some cases. Under this dire threat of global destruction, Cruz, Bingbing, Cotillard, Chastain and Nyong'o join forces and become friends in the code-name '355' cell. 

Then came COVID-19. The movie was initially set to open in theaters on Jan. 15, 2021, and will now debut on Jan. 14, 2022.

Jessica Chastain is not having a good few weeks, but then — who is? Deadline reports that HBO’s ‘Scenes From A Marriage’, the adaptation of Ingmar Bergman’s classic miniseries starring Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac has shut down due to COVID-19. If everyone can once again test negative , production will resume as quickly as possible.

Chastain replaced Michelle Williams, who had to drop out of the project due to scheduling conflicts. Chastain just wrapped ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ and is set to play country music icon Tammy Wynette in a new limited series.
