Brunello Cucinelli FW 2024 Campaign 'Uplight' Lensed by Gregory Harris
/Always the humanist, Brunello Cucinelli [IG] remains humble but positive, as his eponymous brand rolls into Fall 2024 in a strong position.
Photographer Gregory Harris [IG] turns his lens to Indian model Avanti Nagrath and British model Tara Halliwell, styled in the new fall campaign ‘Uplight’ by Michela Buratti.
Brunello Cucinelli himself spoke with financial analysts on August 28, saying that his only concern is to avoid at all costs delivering “a product that looks old” and outdated.
Cucinelli sees a downside to his serenity and he assures analysts that he’s “not going there”.
Brunello Cucinelli is yet another brand swimming against the luxury market current that is dragging down many luxury legends in early fall 2024.
In the six months ending June 30, net profit at Brunello Cucinelli climbed 31.1 percent to 66.1 million euros. The quiet luxury firm reported July sales up 14.1 percent. Operating profit rose 19.3 percent to 104.6 million euros.
Last week, Angelina Jolie wore Brunello Cucinelli to the screening of ‘Maria’ — based on the life of Maria Callas — at the Telluride [Colorado] Film Festival. Jolie plays the legendary soprano, living in Europe during the final years of her life.
The humanist among us, Brunello Cucinelli will receive the John B. Fairchild Honor at the WWD Apparel and Retail CEO Summit in New York on Oct. 29.
Dior Artistic Director Maria Gracia Chiuri received the reward last year. Cucinelli joins highly regarded industry leaders including Ralph Lauren, Karl Lagerfeld, Leonard Lauder, Giorgio Armani, Miuccia Prada and Tommy Hilfiger, who have also received the honor.
"Brunello Cucinelli represents the best of the fashion industry far beyond the impeccable cashmere he is so famous for," said Amanda Smith, president of Fairchild Media Group. "He is a visionary, a leader and deeply connected to his purpose in a manner that cannot help but inspire those around him. His commitment to both creating beauty in the world and giving back to the world are a lesson in leadership for us all, and we are thrilled to celebrate his story this year."
